The risks with virtual reconstruction
Those who work on this project are aware of the connected risks with virtual reconstruction that looks at the past: it would be easy to give in to the "Hollywood temptation" or that of "Star Wars", that is to perform reckless aerial evolutions and embellish the graphic elements which
attract the audience; in the case exposed here, it is tempting to introduce people, urban objects, and render the city alive so that the visitor imagines what the town would have been like. But very seldom do the sources allow to insert such elements, above all if it deals with historical periods in which historical documentation is not iconographic.
