The project envisages reconstruction of the city as it is today and the possibility of navigation not only in current space, but also in time, thus revealing a four-dimensional city, because the three dimensions of space are joined by that of time.
The New Electronic Museum, therefore, uses computer graphics to reconstruct the city. At the same time, the results of historical research which are the essential element for the graphical reconstruction are presented.
Therefore, the starting point is the history of the city of Bologna.
