University training of specialists in IT applications for historical sciences
In order to prepare researchers for this new working method, since 1995 the University of Bologna has operated a specialist curriculum for researchers who apply IT technologies to historical matters. This consists of a PhD, in History and Computing, which tends to provide the methods and cultural tools with which to develop research, with many other sectors of activity, primarily that of Cultural Treasures, which currently offers significant career opportunities.
